“Storm Passing over Alberta” by Doug Rickard

“Storm Passing over Alberta” by Doug Rickard. This stunning landscape artwork is an original painting by Canadian artist Doug Rickard, titled “Storm Passing over Alberta.”  It features an expansive, moody sky heavy with dark, low-hanging storm clouds that contrast dramatically with a thin, glowing band of golden prairie landscape glowing along the horizon. Inspired heavily by Canada's historic Group of Seven, Rickard frequently utilizes layered, atmospheric palettes to capture the distinct, sweeping weather patterns of the Canadian West.
